Presidency University, Bangalore is a Private State University established under the Government of Karnataka Act No. 41 of 2013. Presidency University is part of the Presidency Group of Institutions (PGI) which has a legacy of over 40 years in education. The Group constitutes 8 Schools, 4 Pre-University colleges, a Degree College and a university.

The University is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), AICTE and Bar Council of India. The University offers University offers Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral Programs through 7 schools in Engineering, Law, Management, Design, Commerce and Economics, Information Science and Media studies.

The total current student strength in the University is around 13,000 students while the faculty strength is over 500. The University is located in the vicinity of Rajanakunte, Yelahanka which is a suburb of Bangalore with a picturesque green campus spread across 66 acres of sheer architectural beauty. The University was recently awarded as “University of the year in Placement Excellence – South” and “University of the Year in Innovative Academic Curriculum – South” by ASSOCHAM during 14th National Education Summit 2021. The University was also recently awarded with E-Learning Excellence for Academic Digitization by QS I-GAUGE in certification of the preparedness of the institution to conduct online teaching and learning.
